    Who is Big Bike Tours?

    Why Big Bike Tours?

    Here is why.

Our motorcycle tours are accompanied by experienced guides, mechanics and medics with safety as a priority.

We’ve been riding in Thailand for more than 15 years and running tours since 2009. We deliver because we know what we’re doing.

Every tour has been meticulously researched to show you the best riding and cultural experiences Thailand, Laos and Myanmar have to offer.

Eat and sleep in the best locations. We’ll take you closer to the countries, without skimping.

We limit our motorcycle tours to 10 riders. Small groups are safer and friendlier.

Our bikes are in excellent condition and scrupulously maintained by staff mechanics.

You’ll have a lot of it. Amazing Thailand, Truly Laos, Unseen Myanmar and (for many) a life-changing experience. We love bikes, we love what we do – and we’re sure you will too.

All staff are full-time, well and equally paid, regardless of nationality. We also provide education for staff-members’ families and others, contributing to local economies in the areas in which we work.

All our motorcycle tours are fully inclusive. All tour prices are final prices. There are no hidden costs, upgrades or other surprises. We also promise to cover all speeding tickets, camera speeding and parking fines … ?

5 Star Reviews for Big Bike Tours

Don’t take our word for it, instead listen to what our customer have to say

Simply amazing. The hospitality, company, local knowledge, the routes, the scenery. Just incredible. Our guide Noah was great and looked after us day and night for the 5 days. Some absolutely incredible roads, views which had to be seen to be believed. Just wow. Superb.

The tour is an absolute blast, they take you on magical roads that seem to never end (in a good way), the level of accommodation throughout he trip is the best that the town you stay in has to offer and the food is spectacular. Noah makes sure the meals are varied and interesting (dont worry, you dont have to eat anything out of the ordinary if you dont want to)

What a backdrop, stunning scenery, glittering temples, elephants painting intricately, caves, waterfalls combined with cold beer, good food, decent accommodation and above all a 600+km Nurburgring of roads. We have been on many fun holidays but in all that time I have never seen the whole family beaming so brightly from ear to ear. We cannot recommend Kay and the BBT team highly enough, we will be back!

    Frequently asked questions

Here is what you need to know before joining our adventure

We are a group with more than 10 riders?

The tour is of course possible to book. Please contact us for more details and information.

Whats the best form of transport from Bangkok to Chiang Mai?

Most customers touring with us usually come from Bangkok and in this case we recommend travelling up to Chiang Mai by one of the many flights operating on this route. It is not expensive and with companies such as Air Asia ( The earlier you book the cheaper the flight. The train (night train) is another option; however the Thai train network needs a serious overhaul! Take a look at the difference between the train cost and the flight costs compared to one hour flying time or a 12 hour train journey along with the fact that the trains are notoriously unreliable. The train option is usually the odd one out! Also a lot of busses start every hour from Bangkok’s Northern Bus Terminal (Mo Chit – Chatuchak) to Chiang Mai. Travel time with the bus will be around 8 hours.

Do I need a credit card to pay?

No! You can pay deposits and final balances for your motorcycle tour via Paypal with most major debit cards or you can pay via bank transfer, you can even pay by personal cheque or cash in some cases.

I am travelling alone can I still book a tour?

In most cases yes! There is a minimum number of riders required to operate a scheduled motorbike tour. However, as our minimum amount required is only two riders in most cases we can fit you onto a tour with other riders already booked, if not, providing you give us some notice we can take a reservation from you and open it up for others to join your tour thus making the minimum required number. At the end of the day be sure to contact us! Of course the other way can be, that you have to pay the full price for two riders.

Can I pay in another currency?

We are able to accept payments for our motorbike tours in the following currencies calculated at the current Bangkok Bank exchange rate against the US Dollar at the time of booking… Thai Baht – US Dollar – Euro – Australian Dollar – British Pound – Swiss Franc.

Do I need a special Thai driving license?

No, a valid international driving permit or a valid license with motorcycle amendment from your home country – are all that is required.
